For the past three years, I have volunteered as a camp counselor at a week-long camp for individuals (aged 16-80+) with disabilities, serving as the primary caregiver for 1–2 campers at a time while also supporting fellow counselors.

Duties consist of:

• Supervising camp activities, ensuring safety for all participants.
• Providing emotional support and companionship, fostering positive relationships.
• Assisting with daily living tasks, including eating, dressing, and hygiene.
• Maintaining clean and safe living spaces for optimal comfort.
• Supporting mobility and executing safe transfers for campers in need.
• Utilizing sign language and alternative methods to enhance communication.
• Encouraging participation among campers, building a supportive environment.

I teach and lead a classroom twice a week (5 hours each day), where I trained a fellow teacher and now work alongside them leading lessons, supporting students, and ensuring they stay on track.

Duties consist of:

• Designing and teaching 6-week lesson plans focused on enrichment and creative core skill development.
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a structured, supportive environment.
• Supervising students during class and breaks to ensure safety.
• Planning field trips to enhance hands-on learning experiences.
• Encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills
