She has over seventeen years of professional experience in the field of nursing, working as a Registered Nurse and Supervisor at Sapopemba State Hospital, a public health hospital in Brazil, recognized as a Baby-Friendly Hospital.
With an exceptional academic background, including a bachelor's degree in nursing and postgraduate qualifications in health, as well as several courses and qualifications in human health, she was responsible for giving lectures on various topics related to women's and newborns' health under the care of hospital teams.
Throughout her professional career, she has played a strong role in the management and execution of processes and procedures involving health teams, especially in the field of women's and newborn health, and is qualified by the Brazilian Ministry of Health to promote and support breastfeeding before, during and after hospital care.
For more than 9 years (2012-2021), she chaired the Breastfeeding Committee at the Sapopemba State Hospital, where she was actively involved in the process to be certified as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, which it achieved in 2019.
Her proactive involvement in health issues also led her to join the Maternal Deaths Commission, where she will remain for three years (2019-2021), analyzing and promoting standardization to reduce deaths due to childbirth.
In addition, her ethical and professional attitude is a strong point, as she was appointed a member of the Nursing Ethics Committee, whose task was to evaluate and detail all the non-conformities involving the nursing teams at the Sapopemba State Hospital.
In the area of training and commitment, her role as supervisor of the nursing teams, promotion of knowledge dissemination and monitoring of birth registration processes led to Sapopemba State Hospital being awarded the Gold Seal for Live Birth Registration by the Municipality of São Paulo.
After 17 years of working with the health teams at Sapopemba State Hospital, in October 2021, she took a leave of absence to pursue personal development and is currently finalizing her registration as a Registered Nurse in the United States of America, where she will study and share her vast knowledge to benefit the American people.
