I have been working as a medical laboratory professional for 18 years at University Medical Center as well as 16 year at the Hospitals of Providence East Campus. Throughout the years employed at these organizations I have gained much experience working as a lab professional. I have gained the skills necessary to become a deligent, accurate, and reliable laboratory technologist. I have the reputation for completing high quality, complex diagnostic lab procedures in a timely fashion. I have had many opportunities throughout the years to gain the experience in proper testing techniques and laboratory equipment operation. I have also gained the experience in calibrating and adjusting malfunctioning equipment, as well as a completing maintenance routine maintenance on multiple laboratory instruments. I have been trained over the years in multiple departments such as Chemistry, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Hematology, Coagulation, Serology, and Microbiology. During the years employed at UMC I have had the responsibility as a lead tech in the supervisor's absence and provide guidance to fellow team members and resolve conflicts when necessary. Also, I have the strength of communicating with doctors and nurses when issues or concerns arise in the laboratory. With the amount of experience that I have gained throughout the years I feel that I am ready for a new challenge by taking a different set of responsibilities as medical laboratory technician at University Medical Center. I think I will be an excellent candidate for the hematology supervisor position.
