  • Backgrounds Detective in Human Resources section that consisted of Backgrounds, Recruiting and Administrative management of the department.
  • Detective- Responsible for handling large caseloads of up to 100 new hire applicants, or prior service applicants in accordance with department policy and Backgrounds Section Manual.
  • Detective- Soley conducted in-person interviews using appropriate interview techniques and thorough investigations of applicants through research and screening of all applicants, applications and documents. This consisted of two interviews a day, which required reviewing Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ), personal documents, paperwork and follow-up documentation or reports, and or further investigations.
  • Detective- Collaborated with local, state, and federal agencies to gather and exchange sensitive information in relation to backgrounds, which included Criminal activity.
  • Detective- Daily use and knowledge of Computer systems such as Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS), NV SCOPE, NEOGOV, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Detective-Directly responsible for preliminary and final determinations of applicants based on factual findings, criminal activity and admissions with well written detailed reports on whether applicants are eligible or not.
  • As an Officer in the Office Of Community Engagement (OCE) was to provide resources, contacts and services to the department and the community, and to strengthen community relations through transparent communication and proactive engagement.

  • COP- Responsible for writing detailed reports based on facts and circumstances that led to many arrests of taggers, gang members and or criminals who posed a risk to public safety to include reducing graffiti in the community.
  • Patrol- Responded to calls for service as Patrol Officer throughout Clark County and was responsible for writing detailed reports, leading investigations, dealing with high stress incidents, arresting or citing suspects, enforcing laws and providing safety or assistance to the community.
