I have lived in many different places in the U.S as well as outside the U.S. So I have seen so many different cultures of work, food, people, languages, you name it. This experience of seeing different parts of the world has contributed to my work ethic and understanding of certain environments. Also having mentors such as my shop teacher, to help guide me and build up my work ethic. My shop teacher being the person who helped me find my passion for welding as well as getting welding certified for 1G in junior year. I now strive to finish my welding program at Southern Careers Institute in Austin, Tx to obtain all certifications possible.
Before the start of my Senior year of High School, I applied to and accepted into the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) In this program, I was sent to Germany for 7 months along with 50 other students who were accepted into the program. I stayed with a German host family and went to a German Highschool. I learned the language through total immersion which was an accomplishment in itself given the fact that I did not know a lick of German before arriving in the country. I took advantage of every opportunity to learn and connect with native Germans. I also had the opportunity to work alongside my Host dad at the fabrication shop he worked at. Overall, I have an intense drive to work hard and find success in my life.
