As a life long resident of Charles County I have strong ties to the community an believe in giving back. I coached wrestling and football for 6 years with Westlake Bulldogs Organization. Coached baseball for 5 years and umpired for 10 years for CCYL. I have participated in the Torch Run/ Walk for the past 11 years. I am on the Traffic Safety Committee and have served on DPW Safety Committee and twice on the Holiday Committee.


Since I always try to lead by example, I would appreciate the opportunity for a strong leadership role as the first Assistant Chief of Roads in the future development of Charles County Roads Division.

Receive work request through Cartegraph.

Investigate location of request.

Mark area for work to be done. Replacing driveway pipe, storm culverts, ditching, and asphalt patching.

Contact Miss Utility to mark all utilities at job location.

Schedule crews and assign task for work to be done.

Supervise 3 crews. ( Pipe, Asphalt and Sign crews)

Supervise 17 employee. ( 11 Full time & 6 Part time)

Complete evaluations for 3 Team Leaders and Sign Shop Manage. Review and approve 7 other evaluations for full time employees.

Train and certify all flaggers throughout Charles County Government including full and part time employees.

Approve leave request for 17 employees . (Full and Part time)

Employee counseling and fill out employee conference forms, including employee right ups.

Complete requisition for Purchase orders.

Get quotes to purchase equipment.

Prepare list for new equipment needed for the new Fiscal Year.

Discuss projects with Chief of Roads, Sign Shop Manager and Team Leader.

Schedule work for Sign Shop, Pipe Crew, Asphalt Crew, and Sign Crew.

Communicate daily with Team Leaders on work request and task.

Communicate with Project Managers on any projects they may need help with.

Give weekly Safety Talks for all Roads staff.

Traffic Safety Committee - visit locations of citizen request and observe what is needed to approve or deny request. Discuss findings with members of Traffic Safety Committee during monthly meetings. Will become Roads Division voting member in January 2025.

Supervise 4 Snow supervisors with 8 Snow routes.

On call 24/7, 12 months a year. Receiving calls from EMS, CCSO and County Fire Board. Call out on call employees to report to emergencies when needed and assisting when needed.

Traffic Safety/ Sign Crew Supervisor

Replace any and all signs that are damaged, faded, old, vandalized, or missing.

Fabricate street signs.

Supervise a crew of 2 employees.

Work closely with Sign Shop Manager in fabrication of signs.

Supervise 2 County employees and 12 contractors during snow removal.

Oversee Line Striping and Thermo plastic contractors. Schedule contractors and tracking their budgets.

Quarterly on call rotation.

Responsible for vehicle maintenance.

Support Roads Superintendents and Chief of Roads.

Assist Project Manager with annual road inventory.

Flagger Training Instructor - Train all new flaggers, inmates, and employees. Train employees throughout all County Government.
