I was personally selected by the Worden in my facility to work the youth in the youth offender system. This was based off of the good I was doing in the facility the growth I made throughout my incarceration and my commitment to change
I put the dog program because it takes alot of patience to get the desired results. We come up with a game plan, set smart goals and execute them one step at a time. It takes discipline, integrity, attention to detail, patience, respect and a strong committed work ethic. In the program I earned my master handler, pet care provider and pet care specialist.
I attended decision point's class and was selected bye the programs major to teach it. She seen that I was able to hold the rooms attention in a positive productive way and the people were able to lock in take it seriously and be able to relate to me.
I always was a leader so being selected by the gang coordinator to be a mentor was a honor. I found it very fulfilling to help change someone's walk of life by motivating them to atleast take a chance on change. By showing people I was able to make that change be positive and still respected it made people like me gravitate towards me.
