  • Manage the Transmission Division implementing and delivering Metro’s Capital Expenditure Schedule (CES) projects in alignment with Metro’s strategic goals.
  • Leads, encourages, and supports efforts by Engineering Transmission staff to critically evaluate, question and challenge the need and timing of potential changes throughout the study, design, and construction of projects.
  • Participate in the Enterprise Planning Workgroup. Provide subject matter expertise when evaluating the need and priority for capital improvement projects based on key program drivers including regulatory compliance, asset replacement, capacity constraints, and safety.
  • Serve as the Program Lead on Metro’s Transmission Program. Coordinate and facilitate Program meetings with Program team to evaluate and prioritize future Transmissions related projects, discuss service area capacity and future planning efforts, condition assessment and external agency impacts.
  • Oversee Metro’s Pipeline Condition Assessment and Structure Inspections and Condition Assessment in accordance with Project Management Reference Manual guidance document.
  • Coordinate and administer the Interceptor System Connection Program while working with Metro’s Member’s and Special connectors ensuring adherence to Metro Water Recovery Rules and Regulations Governing the Operation, Use, and Services of the System.
  • Participate in the employee selection process as necessary, developing interview questions, participating in interviews, and providing objective opinions about the candidates interviewed.
  • Support other Metro departments related to Annual Charges, New Member or Special Connector requests, review of Service Area map updates and Discharge Requests.
