• At the animal shelter, I assisted in a daily routine by responding to phone calls regarding available pets and services, maintaining inventory on supplies, providing direct care in the form of tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and walking dogs, and providing companionship.
• Assisted at adoption events by guiding potential adopters and addressing questions regarding pet care. Conducted volunteer orientations by introducing newcomers to organizational mission and policies. Transported animals to veterinary appointments and other facilities as needed.

Facilitated technical support for scientists in research projects, including restraining test subjects and observing animals for behavioral and health changes.

Acquired skills in suturing through club participation and gained diverse knowledge about animals and veterinary practices.
