  • Currently stationed as the Rescue Swimmer Shop Chief at US Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento. I lead a small, motivated group of Rescue Swimmers. We maintain, troubleshoot and repair all Aviation Life Support Equipment. Operationally, I stand weekly 24 hour shifts as a Helicopter Rescue Swimmer to help execute a variety of Coast Guard Missions, from Search and Rescue to Drug/Migrant interdiction.
  • Contributed to the development of standard operating procedures for helicopter Rescue Swimmer operations across entire Rescue Swimmer network.
  • Operated specialized rescue equipment with precision under challenging conditions, maximizing effectiveness during missions.
  • Acted as a mentor for over 250 perspective rescue swimmers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance overall team performance.

  • Selected to author the service wide exam for over 350+ active duty rescue swimmer to take in order to advance to next pay grade. Test compromised of over 2400 questions each year. Required close collaboration with various Coast Guard Commands and leaders.

  • Operational Helicopter Rescue Swimmer. Primary responsibilities were to inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair: helicopter emergency flotation systems, portable dewatering pumps, air/sea rescue kits, and special-purpose protective clothing.
