Accomplishments
Implemented the 911 system in Vermilion Parish. Built the system from the ground up. This included facilitating the re-addressing of the entire parish to a proper street and number system from antiquated system of Rural Route addresses. Coordinated installation of initial 911 Comm Center equipment and have coordinated 5 equipment upgrades over 30 years. Developed initial SOP's for 911 and have maintained and added to SOP's over the last 30 years. Developed strategies for employee retention.
Directed the 911 Comm Center during several natural disasters, including Hurricanes Lili, Rita, Ike, Laura and Delta, and the Flood event of 2016.
