I was afforded the opportunity to provide care for my mother during her battle with breast cancer. After the Covid quarantine, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. I chose to stay on with her and assist her in the day to day activities that she was no longer able to or had increased difficulty doing for herself. I also provided emotional support and general housekeeping duties, while also assisting her in any means necessary. I have learned the value a compassionate companion can provide those who are fighting a battle against serious illness.
