  • Assist with trauma patients by taking palpated blood pressure, and setting them up on the monitor for vitals such as heart rhythm, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, and respiration.
  • Obtain blood and urine samples to the laboratory every 15 minutes or as soon as possible when the sample is on ice or from a trauma patient.
  • Apply splints such as sugar tong, posterior ankle, and volar.
  • Perform 12 lead EKGs on patients and have them looked at by the physician, PA, or NP.
