  • Projects- Identify and respond to building maintenance issues that arise, develop a repair plan, coordinate with in-house trades and/or contracted trades to resolve the issue at hand. Provide solutions to ongoing issues. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of maintenance related construction from cost estimate/budgeting (projects I’m responsible for range from $1000-$1,000,000+) to project completion as directed down from the Director, Assistant Director’s and Manager. Provide communication to the client/management teams during the construction phase of the project. Work with and support the management team to resolve maintenance issues.
  • General Scope- Manage/coordinate the campus roofing, building envelope, roads and vault repairs. Manage/coordinate interior building repairs such as flooring, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, painting, glazing, ceilings, wall coverings, doors and casework. Manage water damage/water intrusion issues from first response, mitigation, re-construction to project closeout. Manage/coordinate contracted trades to perform said repairs throughout the facility for maintenance related projects and provide support to the construction department’s projects as directed. Develop project planning and estimates for the client. Provide feedback and scoring during any carpentry related contract process with the UW Contract Specialist and the other UW Hospitals Management Teams.
  • Project Coordinating - Responsible for posting the appropriate health and safety documentation at the project location, and performing pre-project tasks such as pre-construction risk assessments, crane pick plans, and facilitating pre-construction meetings with relevant trade leads and hospital stakeholders. Coordinate access to job sites, coordinate shutdown requests, obtain regulated materials data and ensure hazmat surveys are done. Perform daily and weekly site inspections, and provide and update project timelines.
  • Preventative Maintenance Work- Schedule and attend inspections. Coordinate the annual fire and smoke door inspections, including repairs for the main NW Hospital Buildings and NW Hospital Outside Buildings. Provide the documentation to management. Manage all roofing related PM work- roof cleaning and repairs, identify issues, budget and ensure delivery of repairs with the contracted trade workers. Manage ongoing contracted door repair work for the Main Hospital Buildings and the CBHL Facility.
  • Physical Trade Work Performed/ Bags On- provide custom fabrication, cabinet repairs, door repairs, ceiling tiles, demolition, drywall installation, taping, flooring, wall coverings, installations, infection control containment, water damage response, etc.
  • Coordinating work with contractors and O&M when not on the job ("off-the-clock work") through texting and phone calls to ensure project delivery and to provide support to O&M.
  • Attend meetings, walk job sites, provide training to new employees, transport equipment, maintain shop equipment/tools and keep up the shop inventory
