Driven and disciplined, I excelled in fast-paced environments at Klondike Cheese and Walmart, mastering skills in packaging, labeling, and team collaboration. Leveraging my ability to communicate in Spanish, I navigated multicultural teams, enhancing warehouse efficiency and safety. My proactive approach and problem-solving abilities significantly contributed to my teams, underscoring my commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.
The change to working at Klondike allowed me more hours. I was pleased to find that there it is also a fast pace work environment which I love a good challenge. It’s a great fit for me with school remaining and allows me to save up money for after graduation. The only real challenge is working with mostly all non English speaking employees but luckily I have 6 years of Spanish and I get to develop that.
Stocking freight at Walmart was my first job after turning 16. This fast pace work environment helped me to first hand see the importance of team work and fallowing processes. It was a very fulfilling job and I was blessed to have obtained the opportunity of working there. I decided to try other job options due to the limited hours they were willing to schedule a high school student.
I have wrestled as a Monroe athlete for the last 10 years. Wrestling is an extreme sport that requires great self discipline, creates professionalism and integrity. Wrestling has taught me to hold my head high especially when bet and to have the respect of my opponent to shake their hand afterwards then get to practice to better myself. This was my last year of wrestling and I’m proud to say I was the only Monroe wrestler who took first place at conference.
