My current job Duties include,

• Read and interpreted blueprints and shop and design drawings. Position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly per defined in specification sheets and prints.
• Fabricate metal using Arch,Mig and Tig welding
• Operate and maintained shop hand tools and equipment, including grinder, drill, bandsaw, and plasma cutter
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Reduced material waste with careful planning and precise cutting techniques.
• Ensured safety compliance by adhering to industry standards and company guidelines in all tasks performed.

• Align and secure components as directed by work instruction
• Align and install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components
• Ensure that parts and materials used in the assembly process are free from quality defects
• Assist other departments with problem solving or improvement ideas related to assembly
• Verify correct alignment of engine components using engine schematics and part prints
• Inspect parts and materials to ensure they are free from quality defects
• Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspection on all engines
• Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions
• Maintain and improve the integrity and reliability of process controls within the production process to ensure customer protection
• Perform Plan/Method Audits of the production processes to ensure critical to customer actions are occurring correctly
• Lead and support Caterpillar Production System continuous improvement activities
• Provide support to quality issues identified on the production line as needed
• Escalate issues and the necessary resources to root cause and develop counter measures
• Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area
