• Emergency Response: In accordance with FAA requirements, respond to aircraft emergencies of all types, ensuring the protection of passengers and determining the proper extinguishing agents to be used while establishing command and control of emergency operations.
• Firefighting Leadership: Lead and manage firefighting teams, demonstrating exceptional judgment in determining the optimal approach for extinguishing fires, considering various fuel types and environmental factors. Led teams in non-fire rescue incidents of various types ie... auto extrication, technical rescues involving specialized equipment.
• Public Education: Educate the general public and community members on crucial fire safety and prevention techniques, imparting life-saving knowledge.
• Project Management: Spearhead critical projects ie...rewriting policies and response plans, specking out new apparatus, identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency within emergency response procedures.
• Operational Excellence: Execute day-to-day duties with precision and efficiency, ensuring seamless departmental operations.
• Problem Solving: Identify issues, analyze information, and provide solutions, contributing to the resolution of complex challenges.

• Evaluate KPI's: Evaluating KPI's during fire ground operations, employee performance and emergency medical care.
• Instruction: Training fire department personnel in various fire related subjects; EMT/Paramedic instructor; CPR/AED, First-Aid, Active Shooter, Blood-borne Pathogen instructor to the general public. Training police recruits Medicop course.
• EMS Lieutenant: Oversaw 214 personnel on 29 Engine Companies, 16 Truck Companies, and 17 Ambulances. Handled disciplinary issues, citizen complaints, liaison to ER staff, peer review, advisor to company officers. Lead paramedic in charge of large medical emergencies.
• Planning: Worked with airport staff and fire personnel planning large scale training exercises for the Federal Aviation Administration. Revising and updating Airport Emergency Plan for the Memphis International Airport. Revised and updated fire department policies related to airport firefighting operations. Planning sessions with public, private organizations on preparation for crisis/emergency readiness.
