Hi my name is Gary Ray and would love to be considered a contidate for position of Painter at the Lucid Coolidge facility. I have over 11 professional years in the paint industry, not including my work at home, painting out of my carport. I am currently employed with Lucid Motors at the Amp 1 facility as a Paint Repair Tech, and am currently working out of the Coolidge facility , as a special assignment, painting the new Cosmos prototypes! I started painting with single stage, and progressively moved up to 2 stage and tri-stage paints. Thank you for your consideration!

Paint Repair Tech
5 Years 9 MonthsPaint repair technician. My duties at the Casa Grande facility are to diagnose the needed paint repair, make the repair and then ship the car off for inspection. At the Coolidge plant, my duties are to sand and prep the car bodies for disassembly and paint. Then to paint the cars and sand and polish out any deformities in the paint once cured.
Paint Tech
1 Year 11 MonthsMy position was lead paint and repair tech. I received assigned cars from our dealership, made appropriate repairs and handed the cars back to the dealership once completed. This included collision repair, panel replacement, and complete paint jobs if needed.
Owner/operator
3 Years 2 MonthsI operated a complete body shop. I specialized in older cars, but worked on just about anything. I offered minor collision repair, rust repair, and eventually got into full restoration work. I painted everything from a 1938 Chevy truck, to a Kenworth semi truck!

4 Years 3 MonthsI started my part time professional body shop career at this shop. I did everything from body work, prep work, paint work to color sanding and polishing.
