Gary Sweet retired from the Garland Police Department in Texas after 38 years. The last 25 years he worked in the crimes against person unit where he worked on over 225 Homicides as well as numerous cold case homicides. Gary has trained many Detectives in homicide and cold case homicide investigation. He has instructed homicide investigation and use of force in the Garland police academy for 25 years. Gary was the lead defensive tactics and self-defense instructor for the Garland police department for 36 years. Gary has been the keynote speaker in many national and state conferences. Several of Gary’s cases have been featured on television crime shows such as Snapped, Fatal attraction, Diabolical, Most evil, and Pandoras box. One of Gary’s cases was featured in the book Bogeyman written by Steve Jackson.
