Seasoned Human Services Caseworker with background in social work and community outreach. Experience includes managing caseloads, evaluating client needs, coordinating services and advocating for individuals within the legal system. Strong interpersonal skills coupled with knowledge of crisis intervention strategies. Proven ability to foster positive relationships, contribute to team objectives and effect meaningful change in clients' lives.
•Assess/investigate intakes into allegations of abandonment, abuse, or neglect of children and provide crisis intervention
•Develop and implement safety plans and case plans, collaboratively with others, that protect children from harm. Interview children, families, and collateral sources to assess risks to children and determine family needs
•Assess the needs, risks, and dynamics for out-of-home placement and explain departmental policies and provisions of the law to families and community members
•Create referrals and gather information to/from community resources, appropriate law enforcement agencies, and medical providers
•Provide support services such as counseling, problem resolution, guidance, and referrals to community resource advocacy and mediation
