Grew rapidly as Vir transitioned from a private start-up to a public commercial company, then back to a development organization. Held numerous operational roles through significant leadership and strategic changes, learning what success does and does not look like at different stages of the company life cycle.

• Provide strategic finance support to the Hepatitis & Oncology programs, influencing decisions and regularly presenting to executive leadership.
• Lead annual budgeting, interim forecasts, and ongoing financial support & reporting for the Clinical and Commercial functions. Previously led these activities for all G&A and Research functions.
• Provide ad hoc valuation modelling and analysis to support strategy and decision-making processes
• Leverage financial reporting and accounting valuation expertise to assist with financial reporting projects, including stand alone selling price, contingent consideration valuation, IPR&D impairment testing, and going concern analysis
• Current administer of Adaptive Planning tool, and significantly contributed to its implementation
• Led insurance function, including D&O, clinical trial, and all business coverages, through collaboration with external partners and senior leadership
• Led treasury function, managing the investment and availability of up to $2B in cash
• Finance lead on grant funding submission, reporting, invoicing, and revenue recognition for non-dilutive funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, including the wind down of the program
• Led financial support for the expansion into three new facilities across the U.S.
• Managed 409A stock valuations and drafted cheap-stock letter, leading up to IPO

Established a foundation of finance, accounting, client relationship, and team management skills as part of KPMG's Valuation Services practice, who's mission is to assist clients in valuing companies, specific assets, and liabilities to help with their business decision-making and reporting requirements

• Delivered valuation analyses for financial reporting, tax, and planning purposes in a wide array of industries across all stages of development, with a focus in early stage Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies
