I am the president, but also the guy who moves furniture, sweeps the floor, develops the IT systems, and maintains the infrastructure.
We are probably the highest tech non-profit that you have encountered. We track *everything* via extensive databases. We have systems that correspond with clients in 7 languages; that allow volunteers to schedule their shifts via text message or on the web; we work with over 800 social service agencies. Everyone who comes in to review out systems walks away amazed. This is what happens when you have a tech entrepreneur team with a wife who's an ex-auditor and process-flow person.

Purchased a box truck and quickly outgrew 1200' of donated space.

Founder and President
UltraNet Communications, Inc.
Marlborough, Massachusetts
07.1993 - 09.1997
Started an Internet company before anyone knew what the Internet was. Hired lots of highly talented college kids, and empowered them. Our growth rate was 3-5% per week, compounded. My job was great, other than having to deal with my employees and customers. Grew to be the largest ISP in New England, with over 110,000 dial-up customers and many high-speed corporate customers. Heard the hoofbeats of the cable companies coming, and sold the company to RCN at one of the highest values per customer in the acquisition market.
