Accomplishments

  • 09/01/17, 04/01/18, Was selected out of five Company Commanders in the battalion to be the Crisis Response Company, a helicopter assault force that serves as the emergency response for the Central Command Theater of operations; a position reserved for the top Company Commander of the battalion. Commanded 184 Marines and Sailors through the battalion's pre-deployment training plan.
  • 06/01/13, 06/01/16, Was by-name requested to assume the position of Executive Officer for Recruiting Station New York and helped elevate it from one of the worst stations, to #1 of 8 in the district and #2 of 16 in the eastern half of the country in 2015. Led the station to record-setting achievements in three of their high-visibility recruiting programs with the highest numbers the station had achieved in over a decade. Was second in command of 117 personnel with the rank of Sergeant or above. Conducted over 60 investigations, three of them were coordinated with NCIS.
  • 02/01/11, 09/01/12, Acted as Commanding Officer of H&S Co and commanded over 200 personnel for a two month period. As a Weapons Platoon Commander deployed to Sangin District, Afghanistan, was in charge of over 60 personnel, the Company Operations Center, and over $30 million of equipment. Stood over 2,250 hours as senior watch officer in the operations center and supervised over 750 events; over 60 of them were kinetic events that included enemy mortar, rocket, and IED attacks, friendly artillery and air strikes, small arms fire engagements, and multiple medical evacuations of friendlies that were wounded and killed in action.
  • 01/01/10, 09/01/10, Was selected out of six Civil Affairs Teams in the southwest region of Afghanistan to be assigned to the most dangerous/complex areas of Marjah and Sangin Districts. Was the counter-insurgency advisor and cultural advisor to two rifle companies during two, three month-long, deliberate offensive operations. Was involved in over five complex engagements that involved enemy mortar, rocket, and small arms fire attacks, to include a complex ambush by enemy forces.
  • 09/01/08, 08/01/09, Was selected out of 19 Platoon Commanders in the battalion to take charge of two positions, and one of only two that commanded positions away from the battalion's main base in Iraq. Was in charge of 74 personnel, $8.1 million of equipment, and two patrol bases that provided security on the southern outskirt of Fallujah, Iraq.
