I have experience working in a manufacturing environment where things must be kept clean. I'm great with detail. If the world had to listen to me, then it would be as close to sterile as possible. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.

This was a transition for me from the production department to the art department at Boca Systems
In this role, I produced press proofs following graphics templates that were sent to the company by clients as PDF files (which included the ticket art/layout and a list of PMS book colors used) and then edited by our graphic artists for production.
When printing these samples (proofs) of the graphics submitted by the client which the client would then have to approve for mass production of their tickets, I had to consider client expectations as well as common problems the production department might encounter when trying to replicate each proof.
Operating a flexographic printing machine meant for producing press proofs
Using problem-solving skills to determine the underlying cause or source of any issues (whether it be from the ink, the printing plate, the paper, the anilox, mechanically related, etc.)
Using time wisely (doing a job once at a moderate pace usually beats rushing a job and having to redo it one or more times)
Color matching against PMS color book and ticket samples of previously printed versions
Changing aniloxes and manually adjusting machine pressures to try to resolve color and other kinds of printing issues
Checking my work to make sure it has the correct layout and dimensions according to the PDF and no printing errors
Coordinating with coworkers from various departments in order to meet production goals and to help solve any problems affecting quality and consistency
Running printing tests when requested
Explaining matters to coworkers clearly verbally and in writing
Sourcing tools and materials stored around the facility for making the proofs
Maintaining aniloxes by thoroughly cleaning them when needed
Cutting printing plates down to the correct size and mounting printing plates with precision
Tidying up, cleaning printing plates, aniloxes, ink trays, and setting things up for the day shift
