Yara Aguilar

I have been fortunate enough to attend Central Catholic High School for the past three and a half years, during which I was given numerous opportunities and had amazing teachers and coaches who pushed me beyond my comfort zone, helping me gain confidence in myself and my skills. An example of one of these significant experience was when I took on the role of captain for our varsity swim team. This taught me the importance of supporting my teammates even when I wasn't feeling confident myself, and it boosted team spirit. While I am not sure about my college major yet, I know that I want to work within the justice system, whether it's as a lawyer or working with the police, FBI, or CIA, with the goal of helping and fighting those who can't help themselves. Through my resume, I want to convey my hardworking and determined mindset, as well as my empathy and willingness to understand others' perspectives.
