  • Fill out daily JSA, and understand daily tasks along with safety protocols that will take place at jobsite.
  • Stock truck with daily tools and materials such as 90 and 45 degree schedule 40 pvc bends, schedule 40 pvc conduit, fittings and couplings, shovels, digging bars, concrete saw, jumping jack compactor, and general power tools as needed on a daily basis.
  • Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.
  • Close off trenching site using safety cones and equipment
  • Properly operate bobcat skid steer loader to efficiently move materials and tools to various locations throughout jobsites
  • Dig trenches for conduit and ridgid conduit bends usually at 46-48" deep using digging tools like digging bars and shovels.
  • Use guiding signals when spotting operator during trenching excavation.
  • Keep accurate accurate records of the installation, including cable routes, splice locations, and test results.
  • When working in transformer, use proper rated insulated gloves and insulating devices to keep safe around cables and bushings.
  • Once the underground conduit is installed and tested, the trenches are backfilled, and the site is restored to its original condition as best as we can.
  • Direct burry secondary cables when needed such as when installing new transformers near previous ones
  • Ground new transformers to groundrod
