Hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, time management and problem-solving skills. Eager to secure entry-level occupational therapist assistant position.
For my service-learning assignment, I chose to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity. During this time, my class was learning about Occupational Justice. Occupational Justice is found throughout the Habitat for Humanity because it serves all people regardless of race, gender, marital status, or religion to be able to meet their basic needs and to have equal opportunities and life chances to reach toward his or her potential by engaging in diverse and meaningful occupations.
Volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity not only gave me the opportunity to serve my community through occupation-based experiences but it helped me learn and develop leadership skills, organizational skills, communication skills, teamwork, and decision making skills.
