I worked with a group of people with Down syndrome for three years. We focused on healthy fitness lifestyles, but more importantly, we worked on social and communication skills; we spent crucial quality time together to create inclusivity and independent freedom. I developed strong relationships with the individuals and parents, which fostered a supportive environment for each person involved.
