I have been volunteering at this food bank one Saturday each month since the summer of 2023. I really like volunteering here because it is very heartwarming to know that you are helping people out in a big way. Many of the people that go through the line always remember faces and are so grateful towards everyone. Volunteering has really helped me develop more teamworking and communication skills.
I have been babysitting for almost 3 years now. I started by just helping out my friends with their younger siblings, but it soon grew into me getting weekly jobs from different families around my area. Working with kids is one of my favorite things. It really helps with my communication skills again because you really have to communicate with parents to make everything work.
I have been a cheerleader pretty much since I could walk. When I was young I was really shy and wouldn't really talk. Cheer has really brought me out of my shell and made me more confident in myself.
