- Upon receipt of autopsy report, provide copies to lead agencies for separate but parallel investigation

- Keep all records stored and secured for a minimum of 10 years
- Locate and speak with family members of the deceased and explain medical terms, legal terms, and scientific terms used on death certificates as well as medical examiners reports.
