  • A successful tour of duty to the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel

  • At the FACE Center, I gained valuable experience participating in individual, group, and family meetings, including literacy and math nights, ESL classes, and school attendance meetings. I also tracked federal and state education policies, contributed to the Danbury Collective on mental health services, early childhood education, and school attendance, and assisted in planning the Family University event for April 2025. Additionally, I attended bi-monthly meetings for the Extended Learning Program, Family Resource Center, and community resource groups, while participating in focus groups on mental health and school attendance. Through workshops and training, I further developed my social work knowledge, focusing on supporting families new to Danbury and addressing both macro-level policy issues and micro-level individual needs.
