  • Promoted to Shift Supervisor after 8 years as an operator. Was in charge and responsible for FCC Units, the U-110 Alkalation Unit, Sulfur Plant, and Acid Plant Units. Was instrumental in the shutdown of the Crude Units in 1989 when the company acquired the Carson Plant.
  • Worked and supervised operators in the Hydrogen Units.
  • Shift/Process Supervisor in the Hydrotreating Department. In charge of 15 operators on the crew, responsibilities included work in 5 Hydrotreating Units/Areas which include a Unicracker, 3 Reformers and UnionFiners/Butamer/Penex Unit. Also was in charge of the VaporRecovery Units also known as Blow Down.
  • Worked on Hydrogen Plants/Turnarounds, Crude Units/Turnarounds, Alky Turnarounds, Unicracker Turnarounds, etc.
  • Acted as Responder Shift Supervisor on the Fire Brigade, demonstrating expertise in emergency response and firefighting
  • Tasked with a special assignment to form a crew of Operators with the Maintenance Department. Evacuated and cleaned out equipment for the demolition of crude units, towers, exchangers, accumulators, etc.
  • Worked as a construction coordinator with Maintenance.
  • Played a pivotal role in strategic acquisition and merger processes, showcasing strong decision-making skills during organizational change This experience showcased my ability to make informed decisions during a critical period of organizational change.
