Introduction - Summary
Detective Corporal Glenn W. LaBove was appointed to the Gloucester Township Police Department on 08/18/97, after acquiring his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Widener University in 05/96. He was assigned to the Patrol Division from 12/97 through 01/02. Det. Cpl. LaBove was then assigned to the Traffic Safety Unit of the Gloucester Township Police Department from 02/02 until 01/13, where his duties included the investigation and reconstruction of motor vehicle crashes and fatal/serious injury crashes, Traffic Law Enforcement, Department of Transportation (DOT) Work Zone Safety Instructor, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Child Passenger Safety Technician/Instructor, Traffic Speed Radar Instructor, New Jersey Police Training Commission Academy Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Hazardous Materials Technician, and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). He also served as a Regional Representative and Regional Vice President with the New Jersey Police Traffic Officer's Association (NJPTOA). He was reassigned to the Patrol Division as a Senior Officer in 01/13, with an enhanced focus on Criminal Investigations. In 08/17, he was permanently assigned as the Shift Investigator on his Platoon, after serving in a secondary role since 01/17. He also served as the Township Emergency Management (OEM) Operations Officer, Evacuation Director, and Shelter Director.
