University Hospital was doing big migrations that consisted of switching from Cerner to Epic which entailed first stage inventory at various sites of thin clients, laptops, printers, label printers, document scanners, bar code scanners, monitors, display boards and other peripherals. Along with that creating floor plans to know where all these elements were, also documenting network drops. Then stage 2 is deployment of all new units to their designated places and test them to make sure their operational . Last step is Go-Live, which is where everything is put into active state to be used by doctors and nurses. At that time 3 shifts are worked to assure everything is running smoothly.
