David Glanzman and Adam Roberts, I used heart rate as a proxy for autonomic nervous system activation as one measurement of short-term sensitization. I demonstrated that the sensitizing stimulus required TRPA1 activation in zebrafish larvae. Further, I used behavioral pharmacology to determine the neuromodulatory neurotransmitters that underly this form of sensitization.
