In the manual machine shop I was a jack of all trades, I learned how to operate machines such as lathes, bullards, and drill presses. I learned to drive a forklift and have driven various sizes of them. I used precision instruments such as micrometers and scales on a regular basis. This job showed me the importance of having attention for detail, troubleshooting work, and being methodical in your work process. I would also air arc gouge regularly and am very proficient in doing so. Loaded and unloaded semi trucks along with directing them. Very physically intensive work that provided me with many skills.
As a Construction Wireman for Lemberg electrical company, I worked at a shop doing pre fabrication for electrical components such as boxes, lamps, light posts. Along with this, I primarily worked at a children's hospital in Wauwatosa doing new electrical construction. This job was physically demanding and provided me with basic electrical and mechanical capabilities. Lift certified and OSHA 10 certified.
As a Chick Fil A team member, I worked in a high turnover restaurant in Lombard Illinois. This taught me to work in a faced pace environment and to place the needs of the customer first.
Dock Hand at 31st street harbor in Chicago as a summer job. Tasks included reeling in boats, deep cleaning of different sized yachts, maintenance of customer docks, refilling boats with fresh water and gasoline etc. Job also included high volume of customer interactions and ensuring the customers experience was up to par with company standards.
