As charge nurse, I supervised the nursing staff and provided patient care in preparing patients for surgery, PACU care and preparation for discharge. I scheduled staff according to the needs of each day while working closely with my administrator and doctors to meet the nursing needs of a busy surgery center.
Other duties were assistance with evaluations, employee health including vaccine administration and record keeping, and assistance with ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
