As a lifeguard, I help maintain the safety of the pool and surrounding areas. This position has improved my appreciation for safety and attention to my surroundings, as well as my professional communication skills.

As a lifeguard, I help maintain the safety of the pool and surrounding areas. My duties on the job include actively scanning the water, cleaning the facility, caring for the pool chemicals and interacting with patrons to provide the best possible experience. As a swim instructor, I plan age appropriate lessons for my students, help improve important swim skills, and communicate with parents. I am in the process of being promoted as a supervisor in both of these roles.

In this position, I assisted the other staff members in caring for children aged 3 months - 18 months. I learned to coordinate activities for various ability levels, teach basic skills, maintain a preschool facility, and communicate with parents.
