Modalities: Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis

• Staff Nurse: Assessment and management of patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis: equipment setup (Bbraun, Fresenius, Baxter), administer medications and dialysis per MD prescription, patient monitoring and interventions, patient/family teaching, documentation, communication and coordination of care with family, physicians, and other members of care team.
• Charge Nurse: Review daily orders and make nurse/technician assignments, communicate with with management, hospital staff, care team. Expedite dialysis delivery. Manage routine equipment disinfection
• Clinical Manager: Chart reviews, JCAHCO prep, evaluate skills and delivery of care by nursing staff, staff teaching
• Preceptor: Guide orientees through the learning process, evaluate, provide feedback, document progress
