  • Serves as main client point of contact for all siting matters on projects that I lead
  • Leads siting and routing discussions and analysis of potential project challenges with client SME’s
  • Drafts preliminary routing concepts or site alternatives to present to clients; drives discussion through siting methodology to move routing concepts and site alternatives forward
  • Leads all other aspects of siting projects including, but not limited to, stakeholder engagement, investigating land use and zoning requirements, and coordinating with local, state, and federal governments regarding planned development or utility regulations
  • Works with clients to define suitability analysis criteria prior to analysis to determine feasibility of transmission line and substation projects
  • Meets with power and utility clients for site visits, in person routing discussions, open houses, and business development opportunities
  • Works with clients to file applicable Regulatory and Certification of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) licensing; special use permits (SUP’s); conditional use permits (CUP’s); and other relevant permits
  • Prepares report deliverables for siting projects such as route selection studies and siting studies
  • Mentors junior staff on the siting process; delegates tasks and work to junior staff and drives deliverable schedule through frequent communication
  • Executes project proposals and budgets for new opportunities and assembles project teams
  • Works with business development teams on efforts to secure construction and operation plans (COP) for offshore wind projects and assists drafting large-scale MSA’s to win work with new clients
  • Utilizes ESRI digital solutions for all transmission and substation siting projects.
