Prepare students and horses for lessons.

• Help tack and untack horses
• Teach kids 5-12 years old USPC horsemanship skills
• Model proper and safe use of grooming equipment and tack
• Perform safety checks for students prior to mounting
• Clean and straighten barn as needed
• Follow supervisor instructions to complete tasks on time

Manage the care and wellbeing of 30+ horses.

• Feed and water
• Prepare horses for turnout (fly gear and other protective items)
• Put on blankets and sheets
• Rotate horses through turnout schedule
• Check horses for injuries or illness

Volunteer position (60 hours per year). Provide assistance to Columbus Zoo guests.

Volunteer position. Assist with both summer and winter camp for ages 5-14.
