I'm passionate about Alaskan fisheries and wildlife conservation and am applying for the Fish and Wildlife Technician 3 in Homer Alaska.I have experience in fieldwork and data collection through volunteering with Fish and Game Homer, measuring and recording data for coho salmon and sturgeon. I was employed by Copper river seafood measuring commercial landed halibut. I worked with Homer soil and water conservation district on Fox Creek Flats building trails to protect bird habitats. As a commercial fisherman, I'm accustomed to working long days under challenging conditions and difficult weather. I've spent time in remote areas, as I'm an avid hiker and grew up being in remote parts of Alaska. I possess strong observational skills, adeptness in navigating remote environments, and a genuine interest in conservation efforts. I feel very fortunate to have worked in the commercial fishing industry and for the incredible jobs in which I've been able to participate. I'm eager to learn and contribute to your project, and I'm confident that I can be a valuable asset to your team.
