Key responsibilities in my position are as follows

• Fitting water gates and aftermarket water gate parts to specified tolerances.
• Welding fitted parts following company procedures and quality standards.
• Communicating with other departments, supervisors and management to solve issues and produce quality products in a timely manner
• Reading welding blueprints effectively to create products that are within company specifications.
• Operating overhead cranes in a safe manner to relocate products and parts.
• Operating forklifts to transport completed products.
• Assisting other employees to navigate part issues and blueprint issues when shift lead is not available.
• Assisting shift lead with training of new employees.
• Assisting shift lead to ensure shop is organized and up to OSHA safety standards.

My key responsibility's in my position were as follows.

• Construct houses, decks, sheds, and other structures by blueprint or direction of Foreman.
• Demonstrate close attention to detail to verify quality and accuracy of work.
• Plan and execute work with proper tools and materials to maximize productivity.
• Repair existing structures such as staircases, decks, door frames, sills and decks with precision to extend their lifespan without compromising structural integrity or aesthetics.
• Reduce material waste by precisely measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber for various construction projects.
• Maintain company vehicles, trailers, machines and tools.
• Safely use power, gas operated and pneumatic tools.
• Lead projects by giving employees a schedule based on job priority.
• Communicate with homeowners to ensure the final product is to their liking.
• Communicate with foreman and contractor on job progress, issues, possible solutions, and up coming jobs.
• To be versatile, learning new skills to complete specific jobs.
