Graham Turner

Summary

I am an experienced leader who also enjoys working on a team to find creative ways to arrive at solutions. In the last couple of years, I've been the Farm Operations Manager at a 4,500 acre regenerative farm called White Oak Pastures and have project managed a 5 million dollar custom home. I find problem solving and working with others for high-efficacy solutions extremely satisfying. Helping to organize and manage teams is also a fantastic reward for me. Along with these things, I have had a lengthy career exploring the outdoors including 24 years of climbing, big wall climbing, alpinism, pioneering first ascents via rock routes in the American West and many first descents into previously unexplored cave systems in eastern Tennessee. I spent 7 years skydiving, BASE jumping, and tracking suit/wingsuit piloting. I worked very hard to develop these skills and paved the way to do it all with blue collar labor. Self-reliance and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in sometimes daunting, unpredictable circumstances and to push forward to accomplish missions, are paramount attributes that I've sought to develop. I believe myself to be a competent teacher, but most importantly a student; seeing that there are always many things to learn. Over the course of time in the above studies and practices, I have built myself into what I would consider a professional problem solver. I believe I am a person that likes to be effective and bring value to my family, workplace, community, and the world. Each of the above experiences have built in me a deep desire to be extremely present with what I am doing. I believe in this wholeheartedly as the appropriate approach to doing anything. I am a consummate student of life. I find extreme value in learning from those around me, as their unique perspectives and gifts are of immeasurable worth to me. I believe that I will be a great fit for your school and would appreciate the opportunity to interview for this position at your earliest convenience.

Carly L. Redding, Ph.D., Executive Director, Center for Agricultural Resilience, 108 Broad Street N, Bluffton, GA, 39824, carly.redding@agriculturalresilience.org, 05/01/24, This letter recognizes Graham Turner as an excellent candidate for various positions. I have had the pleasure to work with him personally and professionally as a property manager of facilities under federal special use permits. In these professional instances I did inspections, and I can attest to his focus on planning rules, instructions, calculations, metrics, and protocols are spot on. It was in this professional capacity that I came to know Graham personally and as a neighbor. I regularly hire Graham for personal work on my ranch because of his passion to do good work, plus is a team player and has stellar work habits such as staying focused and motivated, finishing tasks timely, works independently and is tidy and organized. He displays sheer tenacity to understand and accomplish the multiple levels of engineering and maintenance tasks to manage infrastructure. His carpentry skills are a gift, and he really is a jack of all trades, plumber, landscaper, and mechanic. I believe his most notable virtue is his honesty. Graham is not only very well trained in a wide variety of trade skills he is innovative and cost consciences. He works safely every step of the way and reinforces his work resulting in superior craftsmanship! His mathematical knowledge is impressive as he calculates slope and angles for roadwork, runoff, rock gabion, terracing construction, and barbwire, picket, and/or electric fencing. He enjoys exploring green energy and working with recycled or rebuildable items. Besides being extremely bright and driven, self-motivated, punctual and professional, he is equally personal, compassionate and kind.
