Master Control Technician

  • Distance Education technician for web-based instruction using Crestron, Polycom, and AMX technologies.
  • Created graphics used to display University schedule and connected videoconferences between main camus (Chicago, IL) and it's satellite site (Wheaton, IL).
  • Managed broadcast operations of the college’s cable (WDCB-TV) television station.
  • Coordinated efforts with “WDCB,” the college’s radio station to run pre-recorded news broadcasts (WDCB-TV) on the hour from 9 AM until 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Served as the de facto Programming department for the college’s cable station.
  • Acquired content via satellite downlinks (24-hr Classical Music programming ran during off peak hours), as well as those programs available in the “public domain” for broadcast on the college’s cable channel.
  • Built the weekly playlist of programs that were scheduled for air on the college’s cable channel.
  • Recorded DVD copies of “public domain” programs made available via the internet and uploaded these shows onto the college’s Content Management System (Blueline).
  • Used a web-based app to close caption from Mandarin to English two “public domain”movies scheduled to celebrate Asian History month.

  • Served as Director, Technical Director, and/or Camera Operator on various productions of shows/programs specifically designed to promote the college’s mission statement.
