· Trade policy and international collaboration: My responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating bilateral and regional trade policies to guide national trade policy-making decisions to facilitate trade-

a) I have actively participated in technical committees for trade in goods within the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

b) I am currently serving on the national committee for non-tariff barriers, tasked with monitoring and resolving registered non-trade barriers to facilitate trade.

· Tax Policy: I am tasked with formulating policies concerning Income Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), and Customs and Excise to ensure the promotion of investments in the country and the effective mobilization of tax revenues;

· Promotion of Charity Works: My role involves assessing applications for tax relief and monitoring activities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to ensure that the government supports and complements charitable efforts in Zambia; and

· Forecasting: I am responsible for forecasting tax revenues and tax expenditures to provide insights for the preparation and execution of the national budget.
