With over twenty-three (23) years as a Police Officer, Officer Greg Martin's primary focus has been educating the citizens of Warner Robins on Federal, State, and Local laws in a positive manner. As a senior officer in the department, Officer Martin is called upon by younger, less experienced, officers when clarification on laws or department policies is needed. Officer Martin is a certified General Instructor and a Defensive Tactics Instructor through the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Council since 2004. In September of 2009, Officer Martin received Field Training Officer (FTO) certification. Officer Martin is an ID Tech since September of 2013. In June of 2015, Officer Martin was certified as a School Resource Officer (SRO). Officer Martin is a certified Firearms Instructor since September 2016. In June of 2022 Officer Martin became a Master Resiliency Instructor. Officer Martin completed Leadership Theories and Practices in October of 2023 and received POST certification as a Supervisor. Through having those certifications, Officer Martin has taught classes to other officers, and the general public, on various topics to include self-defense and workplace safety. Officer Martin has led classes at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) in Forsyth, GA, and has taught the Georgia Resiliency Program to various agencies throughout the state.

Officer Martin has attended several leadership classes and has been in multiple leadership roles. Officer Martin completed Supervision Level 1 in October of 2010. In October of 2016, Officer Martin is certified as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) member. Officer Martin is currently a member of the Houston County School Safety Commission (HCSSC) and is certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a School Shield Assessor in October of 2019. Officer Martin is also a member of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) District Leadership Team for the Houston County Board of Education. In February of 2020, Officer Martin became a certified CIT-Youth Instructor. Officer Martin is a member of the Warner Robins Police Department Peer Teem since 2021 and is certified as a Peer Team Member by POST in March of 2023. Officer Martin was also a member of the WRPD Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team for five (5) years.

Officer Martin is actively involved in the schools and the community. Officer Martin currently serves on the Executive Council for Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Georgia. Part of the responsibilities as an Executive Council member is to help organize and facilitate events around the State for Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA). Officer Martin has represented Warner Robins Police Department as a medal presenter for the athletes in the many Special Olympic Games held throughout the state during the year. Officer Martin is also the Master of Ceremonies at the annual LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Georgia. Officer Martin is a certified community coach in the Houston County school system. Officer Martin has coached wrestling and softball at several schools in the school system. Officer Martin is currently a coach, and a tournament director, for the Houston County Student Bass Anglers Federation (HCSBAF). Officer Martin is a volunteer for the Little League Southeast Region Softball and Baseball Tournaments and has been for most of the last fourteen (14) years. By doing that, Officer Martin is able to represent the City of Warner Robins at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA in 2023 as a field crew member, and has been selected to do so again in 2024. Officer Martin is currently responsible for Security Operations at the Little League Southeast Region Softball and Baseball Tournaments.
