Summary

Bilingual and highly motivated individual fluent in both English and Spanish, seeking to obtain a position as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent to contribute to the safety and security of the nation while making a positive impact on border communities. With a strong foundation in law enforcement, gained through the successful completion of a certified two-year high school law enforcement program and hands-on volunteer service as a cadet at Brawley Union High School, I have developed a deep respect for public service, discipline, and teamwork. My passion for protecting others and upholding the law is rooted in both academic and real-world experiences. While in high school, I took initiative by enrolling in college-level courses that deepened my understanding of the social, political, and cultural issues that affect immigration and border regions. Courses such as U.S. History, American Government and Politics, Sociology, and Chicano/a Studies helped me develop a well-rounded perspective on the challenges faced by individuals on both sides of the border and reinforced my desire to serve with fairness, cultural sensitivity, and integrity. In addition to my academic achievements, I served for one year as a Teacher Assistant, where I strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills qualities essential for any Border Patrol Agent. I am also CPR certified, prepared to respond in emergency situations, and currently pursuing an associate degree in Administration of Justice at Imperial Valley College to further enhance my knowledge and readiness for a career in federal law enforcement. I am pursuing a career as a Border Patrol Agent because I believe in protecting our borders with honor, respect, and professionalism. I want to be part of a mission that safeguards our nation while treating individuals with dignity. My goal is not only to enforce the law but to represent the values of justice, service, and commitment to country. I am ready to bring my skills, determination, and sense of duty to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency.
