I switched from Copper to Fiber Optic in my home although to be honest does not make much difference in connectivity I had to change several other factors to get up to 900 mbps Download speed. Because the 1 Gig internet connectivity that century link offers doesn't do much if your hardware cant process it or route it. So the upgraded routers and processors help me have high and stable connection to play games, the fiber optic that i extended from the street into my fiber optic modem in my closet was just to give it a little zing.
