Hardworking Biomedical Engineering student that is willing to put more work in than expected. Understands basic lab and experimental procedures, as well as basic problem-solving skills. Has the ability to excel in a team-based environment and treats everyone with respect. Looking for opportunities to use engineering skills in a practical workspace environment.
Porosity Material Testing
• Used SolidWorks to create a few structures all having a different number of pores to test how the porosity of a material affects its tensile strength as well as other properties. A software, which was compatible with Solid-Works, was used to complete the test and measure the properties of the material.
Red Blood Cell Count
• Created a MATLAB code that could count the amount of red blood cells depicted on a zoomed in image of blood samples. The MATLAB code was tested with a manual count in order to understand its accuracy.
Tensile Strength Testing
• Tested the tensile strength of different metal alloys, specifically aluminum, with a tensile testing machine. This was done in order to acquire different properties of different materials or different types of the same material
